How to Create and Manage Coupons in the My Takeaway App

• Create and customise coupon codes.
• Offer discounts with spend or expiry conditions.
• Choose coupon types (basic, one-time, or per-customer).
• Apply coupons across website and mobile app platforms.
• Schedule coupons for specific days, times, or order types.

1. Open the My Takeaway app.
2. Tap the “Hamburger” menu (≡), then go to Promotions → Coupons.
3. Tap the + icon to create a new coupon.
4. Customise the code – an auto-generated code appears, which you can edit.
5. Select Discount Type – percentage or value, and (optional) set a minimum order.
6. Choose Coupon Type:
   • Basic – reusable until expiration.
   • 1 Time – usable once by any customer.
   • 1 Per Customer – valid once per customer until expiration.
7. Set the Expiry Date.
8. Select Portal, Order Type, Platform, and Days of availability.
9. Add a description (up to 250 characters).
10. Tap the ✔ icon (top right) to save.

Best Practice

• Use clear, easy-to-remember codes (e.g., SAVE10).
• Always set an expiry date to create urgency.
• Restrict codes to certain days or times to drive orders during quieter periods.

• One per order – Customers can only use one coupon or discount at checkout.
• Redemption checks – Coupons won’t apply if terms aren’t met (e.g., expiry, min spend, first-order only).
• Auto-applied discounts – Some offers may not require codes if conditions are met.
• Refunds – If an order with a coupon is refunded, credits follow Foodhub’s standard refund policy.
