How to Create and Send Push Notifications in the My Takeaway App

1. Open the My Takeaway app on your smartphone.
2. Tap the “Hamburger” menu (≡) in the top left corner.
3. Select Promotions → Push Notification.
4. Tap the “+” icon to create a new notification.
5. Choose a Notification Template or select Custom to create your own.
6. Add a Title (max 50 characters, e.g., Weekend Offer – 15% Off).
7. Enter the Message (e.g., Enjoy 15% off all orders this weekend!).
8. Select the Date and Time to schedule the notification.
9. Tap Send to confirm and schedule it.

Result: Customers with your takeaway’s mobile app will receive the notification at the scheduled time.

Best Practice: Keep titles short, use clear offers, and avoid sending more than one notification per day to reduce customer fatigue.

• Edit – Notifications cannot be edited once scheduled. Delete and recreate if changes are required.
• Delete – Open the scheduled notification, select Delete, then confirm.

• Maximum limit – Only five notifications can be sent per week. The system prevents sending more.
• Scheduling – A date and time must always be set. To send immediately, schedule for the current date and the next available minute.
• Target audience – Notifications go to all customers who have installed your takeaway’s native mobile app (Android & iOS). Targeted sending is not supported.
• Real-time updates – Changes require deletion and recreation; there is no direct edit option.
